It looks great easy to see the numbers
I don't think that the campass is accurate.
By Happy with the product from VA on 04/01/2009 Pros: Accurate, Comfortable, Quality Construction, Stylish Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this watch b/c my Suunto stopped working...it was old. I was surprised at the price...it was low and have been happy with the watch so far. It comes with a back-up battery, so it will save you more money and trip to the store to find the "right" battery.
This was the first I've tried a reverse type of display (black background). It take a little to used to, but ok. I think my preference is for the typical black numbers. It does look cool though.
Looks great but doesn't work. By Recon One from White Plaines NY on 03/23/2009 Describe Yourself: Athletic, High End Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: When you toggle from one mode to the other my watch got stuck on one mode and I couldn't get off I mailed it back waiting to get another one.
Accurate and fun to play around with. By Rich from Joliet, IL on 03/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Quality Construction Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The first one I received was defective, bad screen. The watch is a bit bulky and the temperature gauge picks up body heat,causing it to read about 15 degrees hot. The compass needs occasional recalibrating and living in the midwest dose not give me much use for the altimeter.
By Jim, Spec Ops Medic from Indianapolis, IN on 03/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to use Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This was a gift, well appreciated, but I would have never bought one for myself.
The watches normal timekeeping features are easily accessed and to read but the back light should be a little longer to allow the eyes to adjust and find the info on the watch face.
The compass is highly affected by EM energy so use in buildings, and inside even suburban neighborhoods causes the compass to be useless.
Obviously the thermometer's accuracy is affected by body temp and outer layers - but sitting on the nightstand it works very well.
The altimeter isn't all that accurate even after multiple adjustments.
The barometer seems to be suprisingly very accurate even when worn against the body and under outer layers.
And I can't speak of durability yet - it's only been a couple of weeks and it's winter so the watch has been well protected from impacts by outer layers.
Can't read the little letters By L from Salt Lake City, UT on 02/24/2009 Pros: Quality Construction Cons: Can't read little letters Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband can't read the little letters on the outside dial - even with glasses. We'll probably return the watch.
Useful, and easier than some... By Dean the Doc from Baltimore, MD on 02/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Quality Construction Best Uses: Daily Use, Work Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Daily use as a physician: easy to read, easy to set (compared to Timex series), timer and chrono are easy to use;
con: (minor) Temperature displayed seems inaccurate compared to thermometers in same area - maybe due to body heat. I bought light on black background, but next time I would do the black on light background for better contrast.
A Classic Twist on Typical Sports Watch By TTFits from Minnesota on 02/23/2009 Pros: Quality Construction, Stylish Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Athletic, High End Shopper, Modern, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm tired of the Old-Faithful... the Timex Ironman watch... wanted something different, fun, bold. This is it. Feels dressier and will enjoy checking out vertical feet climbed on rides/skiing/hiking. Watch is too big for competition so will go back to Timex when racing Tris... but like having a sport watch that looks nice at work.
