Get a light with a good LED and a good reflector and leave this one alone.

Perfect for night running By Jim the runner from Rocklin, Ca on 01/02/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Great contrast, Long battery life Best Uses: Night Trail Running Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this light for running trails at night. The green light shows shadows of rocks and bumps, and is easy on the eyes. Too bad all the the light manufacturers think everyone wants the brightest white light you can possibly carry. This lasts all night long, and helps preserve night vision.
By Redtail from Upstate NY on 12/23/2008 Pros: Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The LED's are made in Japan - the absolute best money can buy.
Takes 4 AA batteries - included. Most others in this class have
rechargeable lithium or other more uncommon and expensive batteries. The long battery life beats the competition hands down. Reviews regarding the color choice should be expected. Red would be great for a pilot + it's a bright but softer light at night. Don't expect it to shine like the white light. The back of the secure carry case has openings allowing for a vertical or horizontal attachment to a belt or a pack. Household or car use is a perfect choice. It is not heavy light.

By WVMtnRunner from WV on 11/07/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this as a hand-held light for running, but I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. It is a great and versatile light for everyday use; just not light enough for fastpacking or running.
By Bob from Wilmington, DE on 06/16/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life Best Uses: General use around home Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Flashlight has a solid feel in the hand and switches cleanly. Very bright and, with LEDs, all one may have to do is replace the batteries when they get old. Should be great for power outages.
