Walk safely across slippery surfaces By Laurie from Dodge Ridge on 11/12/2009 Pros: Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Packed snow icy roads Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use my YakTraks to cross the parking lot at the ski area where I work. Occasionally they fall off my after-ski boot so I lost one; this is why I'm ordering a new pair. Other than getting lost, they are quite durable and improve walking.
Great invention for safety on the ice By cj from SW MI on 11/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight, Versatile Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This product is terrific. A previous employer purchased them for landscape folks who had to keep up the grounds for a university in the Michigan winter. I purchased them for family and friends; helps keep older folks safe on icy sidewalks and allows me to walk dogs on snowy/icy streets in rural areas. My friend will wear them ice fishing.
Big smile now--no more slips this winter By Nanook of the North from Seattle on 11/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight, Versatile Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I gave YakTrax to someone who'd fallen & been injured last year on icy city streets. They got a big smile. He'd been wanting some, based on the very good experiences his friends had wearing them. The medium size fit fine on his size 10 1/2 hiking boots.
We Really Use them !!!! Great ! By Las lost in Pine Cone Country. from Most Northern Rockies. on 11/11/2009 Pros: Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Mixed Routes, Vertical Ice Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We walk 2 miles a day from back door back to our back door year round almost daily. They blacktopped our nature trail 4 years ago & now it can turn icy. Sometimes polished ice with some uphill & downhill places that can be almost impossible to walk without falling. These Trax make all the difference in the world. We have the pro-version too with the heavier springs and also the strap to keep them from falling off. We use both kind models but almost always reach for these easy to put on & pull off variety. We like them better than the cleated versions & we also have to work our way through the unkept woods with lots of deep snow at times to get from the house to the trail that is paved so we sometimes wait to put these on rather than accidentally loose one off a boot in the snow. Or that's when we'lls strap on the pro-versions when snow is extra deep. Get them you'll wonder how you managed winters without.
By comfort lover from Berkshires,MA on 11/11/2009 Pros: Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip Best Uses: Icey sidewalks, Mixed Routes Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These really decrease the risk of falling on icey sidewalks and the like. One must still be cautious but I didn't have a single slip or fall last winter. I'd recommend these as gifts for anyone who doesn't want to risk a fall during "inclement" winter weather. I bought orange so that I can see them if they happen to slip off.
Get if Winters are with snow and Ice... By Lost in Pinecone country. from Libby, MT on 11/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Mixed Routes, Vertical Ice Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We've given as gifts and have two pairs each of this model along with a pair each of the Pro-model that has a strap to help keep them on your boots in heavy snow. Otherwise these do just fine and seem to stay on our boots. They can be slippery on smooth inside floors so we always take them off to avoid floor damage otherwise they beat the kinds with cleats hands down. Everyone loves them.
A must for Winter weather By Ubu from Maine on 11/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight, Versatile Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I mostly use them of all places, when shoveling the driveway. It's about 60' long and downhill. These keep my footing safe, even on ice. Also great out on the lake when walking over the ice.

By bear peak from Boulder CO on 11/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight, Versatile Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For a size 9.5 and 10 women's, the medium is perfect. Still have to stretch to get on and it has solid hold of the shoes/boots. The small seemed stretched to its limit and seemed like it would break sooner with the stress on that size shoe. Even though the description says a small goes up to women's 10, get the medium if you are 9.5 or up, also works well on a men's 8. Great grip, easy use, light.
