Great for Grand Canyon's icy trails By Skagit Kaibab from Burlington, WA on 11/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Icy patches on trails Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the YakTraks mostly on my hikes down the Grand Canyon's icy trails in the winter time. They're easy to take on and off. They have good traction and fit over boots or shoes. Their weakness is that the elastic snaps (usually on the sides) over time and long hikes on rocky/icy mixed conditions of trails. I'm on my 4th pair but they are easier to use than the strap on 4-prong steel "mini-campons" that they sell at the Grand Canyon Store and they don't slip on your boot.

I bought this product again and again! By Jo from Stockton, NJ on 11/05/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love these. Bought more and more when they went on sale to give to all of my family. We live in an area where there is plenty of ice in the wintertime and these are well worth the money spent to prevent injuries from slips and falls. We can afford these but can't afford a broken hip or leg. But they will wear out fast if used mostly on hard surfaces like pavement.
