Walk on ice and no slipping!!!! By Gretta's mom from Buffalo, ny on 10/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Icy roads walkways, Mixed Routes, PACKED SNOW Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When you are wearing your yak trax winter walks on icy or even possibility of ice are now a pleasure! Go ahead, take the dog cuz even a 70lb Doberman isn't going to yank you off your feet on an icy road as she lunges to chase a squirrel, bird or whatever. When you are wearing your yak trax you will have traction even downhill on ice- at least I do (dog and all). Bought my first pair last year at full price- this year they were half price. Thank you Sierra Trading Post for a great deal!!
By Mountainkid from Montana on 10/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great grip in normal temp, Lightweight Best Uses: Trail walkingsnowy roads Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these daily for a morning walk and they work well unless the temperature is so cold that the glass-like ice is too hard to grip.
Wherever you have ice you need these! By Shemomo from Seattle, WA on 10/22/2009 Pros: Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great Grip, Lightweight Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: First bought these in Bend, OR... they were a lifesaver during last winter's ice and snow here north of Seattle - enabled me to get out and about for the nine days my car was stranded in the driveway. Wanted to get a pair for the car - just in case - and one for a friend

They work great on any shoes. I live in rural area and for walking on the street in front of my house is wonderful. Before I fell so many times on ice, since I haven't.
By Trick from Stratham, NH on 10/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Adjust, Great for car and home, Great Grip, Lightweight, Never know when you run Best Uses: Icy walkways or parking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've known about Yak's for a long time, but never got around to getting a pair. Your price made it a good idea for a pair for the home and one for the truck.
By Bus commuter from Bothell, WA on 10/20/2009 Pros: Easy To Put On And Adjust, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just bought pairs for my parents for icy weather. I have a pair that I use to walk to the bus stop when the sidewalks get icy. The grip is good, but I have had some problem with them staying in place on my Merrell boots. This takes an occasional readjustment, but allows me to walk in treacherous conditions.
By wrangler from ct on 10/19/2009 Pros: Easy To Put On And Adjust Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are not as rugged as my old yaxtrax. They are for light use only.
By MsAnnaNOLA from New Orleans, LA on 10/13/2009 Pros: Easy To Put On And Adjust Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I think the glow in the dark is cool but not everyone may think so. Thought I should mention it since the sierra description did not. I bought the yaktrax to go hiking in.
By Occasional Slipper from Boston, MA on 09/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Simple Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the real thing. Bring it on winter! These are going to save a few falls! Great for ice and packed snow.
By Climbhigh from NJ on 08/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Simple Describe Yourself: Avid Climber Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been using Yaktrax Walkers for many years. Great for hiking in light to moderate snow and ice conditions on both trails and rocky surfaces. Wonderful gripping ability. Heavy snow and ice requires crampons. Easy to carry and very lightweight. I always take a piece of nylon cord and tie them onto my boots so they don't pop off under heavy usage. This actually works better than the Yaktrax Pro which has come off during heavy use.
