great watch/great watch co. By livinnnc from raleigh, nc on 09/25/2009 Pros: Easy To Read, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Travel Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: MICROTEC "lanterns" make a Luminox worth owning to begin with. 1st time buyers will certainly understand the value of "readability". Luminox timepieces are glowing with readability.

Gorgeous high quality watch By Toots Suite from Wash DC on 08/06/2009 Cons: Bandcase now madeChina Best Uses: Everyday, Formal, Unmatched luminescence Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very attractive watch - unbeatable night time readability... I noticed this watch is considerably lighter versus my ten year old Luminox - a Swiss trained horologist (clock/watch maker) confirmed the bands, cases & crystal are now made in China... at the price it is still a great deal... movement is low end but reliable
By J Mac from Raleigh, NC on 07/03/2009 Pros: Good Quality, Lightweight, Low profile Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Overall great watch for the money. The workmanship seems top notch over the entire watch except for the bracelet, which does not seem cheap, but doesn't seem quite as nice as the rest of the watch. Some had mentioned that the hands are similar in length and that made the watch hard to read at a glance. While the hands are fairly similar in length, I did not have any difficulty reading the watch.
Pretty good when compared. By Tim the rower from San Jose, CA on 06/10/2009 Pros: Easy To Read, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As others have commented on the Luminox watches, mine had poor alignment of the second hand to the the indices. It's a sign of poor quality but it is not important to me for this watch. The accuracy of the timekeeping is excellent after about two weeks: no change compared to radio-controlled clock. Visibility's incredible. Essentially the same price as a plastic body Marathon with tritium vials but looks a lot better. The blue dial is striking and handsome. I replaced the stainless bracelet with a leather strap so I can't comment on the bracelet's functionality, but the bracelet looks like excellent quality. It has 20 mm strap width at the horns. Many of us would expect a screw-down crown in a watch like this--not present. However it may keep watertight just as well without screwing down if it is precisely built. I haven't tested it with a wet challenge beyond washing dishes, however.
By frogspit from rochester NY on 05/25/2009 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Stylish Cons: Hands are very similar, Heavy Best Uses: Everyday, Sports Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: At a quick glance it is hard to tell the difference between the hour and minute hand.
By OldRattler from Upstate, NY on 04/12/2009 Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Yes, this watch has a fatal flaw. The stem pulls out very easily (and often without your help). When it does, the watch stops dead (for group syncronization purposes I suspect). BUT, if you're not doing that intentionally, the next time you look at your watch, you realize it isn't running. It has happened MANY times. One click out and the date changes. Same deal, it has also happened MANY times. In the latter case the watch keeps running, but the date changes with the action of your wrist. This is very disappointing. I was very excited when I got this watch, but now I'm looking for one to replace it.
