By Randy the Scouter from Milwaukee, WI on 06/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was suprised that the multi-tool came with it's own leather sheath. Knife is very sharp, I have used the multitool already. only thing is that the multitool is heavy.
By Mastovlox from Minnesota on 04/11/2009 Pros: Durable, Looks Killer, Sharp Blade, Versatile Cons: Poor knife in Powerlock, Scissors is OK not great Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't had the opportunity to bring this combo out into the woods yet, but I am very impressed with the quality of both products thus far. A few criticisms, I don't like the included blade on the powerlock (not into the 1/2 serrations) and I have mixed feelings on the scissors. That being said, SOG's website has a number of reasonably priced substitutions, which makes me very satisfied. The Field Pup has also impressed me. It is incredibly sharp and comfortable in hand.
Sog's usualy good quality By xbdfarmer from Austsin, TX on 03/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Finish, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Camping, Home, Hunting, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: With this combo, quite a few tasks are covered.
By guitaraddict from South Easton, MA on 03/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Finish, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Camping, Home, Hunting Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent quality knife, sheath and multi-tool.
Knife is very comfortable and balanced. Grooves in spine provide great purchase for your thumb giving you excellent control. Razor sharp out of the box. Comfortable grip perhaps a little too soft. Too light for "survival" use but perfect for day to day medium duty. Nylon sheath has plastic liner and secures the knife very well. Multi-tool feels very robust (although I think I prefer my gerber) and fits in the accessory pocket on the sheath making this a very practical pairing. This will have a permanent home in my truck both for work and recreation.

By Don on the trail from NC on 01/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Finish, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Camping, Hunting, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Both tools compliment each other well, are not bulky when they are in the sheath which is also made of a durable nylon. I like the black finish on the Powerlock which increases the grip as opposed to the finished stainless steel. Opening and closing the tools are smooth, and are held in place by a simple lever lock which fits into a notch on each fold out tool. The knife is light, and the grip is also comfortable and tacky. I would prefer that the knife be an inch or two longer
A lot of function for the money By Shopping for a soldier from Denver on 12/13/2008 Pros: Finish, Sharp Blade, Versatile combo sheath Cons: Knife made in Taiwan Best Uses: Hunting, Military, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: SOG quality, and I believe the multi-tool is indeed USA-made, but the knife I received is made in Taiwan.
Purchased for my deployed soldier. The multi-tool + knife provides good combination of functionality for his needs.
