The mechanical advantage that SOG offers on their tools is great. The knife is of good quality too, not quite as stout as I had hoped but a great small camp or utility knife. The tool comes with it's own leather case and their is a combo sheath for both of nylon. Great deal on great tools.

By TCG01 from St. Paul Minnesota on 04/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Road Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This set caught my eye as I was looking for a replacement for my missing Leatherman. I spend a lot of time in the BWCA and other remote spots and need a solid multi tool without alot of fluff or weight. The fact that it comes with a decent fixed blade was a great bonus. The fixed blade is lightweight and sharp. It's nothing really great, but it gets the job done. The multi tool however, is really decent. Compared to my stiff leatherman this multi tool handles like a dream. All of its componants operate smoothly and lock securely into place. I also like the blued finish in lieu of the stainless steel. Short of a fillet knife, this combo is all the cutlery I should ever need.
