By Ponygirl from Iowa on 09/15/2009 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted these to fit, but they were just a bit too big so they were returned. Beautiful, and would have been comfortable, thought they would stretch out and be too loose.

By Cowboy91 from Ayden, NC on 03/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Cons: Initial fit is tight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Conservative, Rough stock rider Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After the initial tight fit, and getting used to the very soft insole, the boots are comfortable enough to wear all day. The heel counters and ledges are tough enough for spurs. This boot has a sturdy, substantial look to it; it's not your trim, sleek sissy boot.
Double H Boots are the best By RTinSD from South Dakota on 03/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Cowboy Boot Fanatic Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great boots! Like others mentioned, they are a bit snug at first till the gel insole shapes to your foot. After that, they are one of the most comfortable boots I own. I wear cowboy boots 95% of the time, and these are one of the best yet.
By Wyo Roper from Cody, WY on 02/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Cons: Heel is a little small, Unstable Best Uses: Casual Wear, General Ranch Work, Riding Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great boots, really well made, leather soles are a huge plus, my girl says the color combo is major sexy haha, gel insoles are super nice... but the heel is a little small, looks kinda funny because of that, and the foot of the boots looks "thick" (for lack of a better word) because of having to fit all the gel padding inside the foot... it was kinda weird at first but i got over it in about 3.2 seconds. they feel a half size too small and too narrow until you STAND UP in them and squish down the gel sole, then everything is perfectly sized. Overall these things are super nice, real glad i was able to get a pair cuz they're discontinued i'm pretty sure.

Check 'em at the door, boys! By The GearDaddy from Currently residing in the Northeast on 01/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Cons: Soles pick up grit, Somewhat bulky Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Gearhead Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for everyday use and am fairly pleased overall.
The cushioning inside really takes the edge off of the heel-strike on a hard surface (especially good in a buckaroo), and it does make for a somewhat lower-volume fit. With the extra cushioning and the flat sole design under the arch, the boots are well-designed for work, but they're bulkier than a traditional boot which fits much closer to the foot, so not as sharp looking.
The soles and heels on mine are NOT stacked leather, as described, but some type of rubber. That's good for work and in wet weather, but the compound is soft enough to pick up grit, which makes these a real weapon against a wood floor. Mine come off at the door and stay there.
Overall, these do just about everything you could ask of a western work boot and they seem to be well made. Probably my biggest concern with them is that my feet seem to sweat more in the HH boots than in any other make that I've owned.
By farmer john from corpus christi tx on 11/08/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: good looking boot but the pillow cushion insole is soft it is a little to thick and makes boot a very tight fit .
By Al in Texas from Brownsville Texas on 11/08/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Will stop buying Double H Buckaroos when I can no longer find them with leather sole. Do not like the rubber sole.
