The NXT 3.0 series was made with better 1050 ballistic nylon than the current NXT 4.0 series. Also, the strap that comes with this bag is very comfortable and normally sells for $30 by itself.
In case you have to check your bag, red is the perfect color to easily spot your luggage on the conveyor belts amidst a sea of black.
Very few companies provide a warranty that includes normal wear and tear caused by destructive baggage handlers, but Victorinox stands behind this product.

He can pack EVERYTHING he needs in this bag and have only the one bag to carry-on. When he is shopping he goes for the least expensive and doesn't always consider the quality.
