By Maven from Minneapolis, MN on 07/31/2008 Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a dope--Scarpa's Euro-sizing is not the same as most other brands and I should have done my research. I wear a 10/41, in pretty much every brand ever, so I assumed a 41 would be okay for me. Not so! Scarpa's 41 is in fact a 9. So these beautiful beautiful boots had to go back, but I can tell you that they look awesome in person and feel great (except for being, you know, a full size too small).
By jb from athens, ga on 07/20/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I took these boots hiking in the Appalachians for a day hike and my feet felt very comfortable. They provided great ankle support too, very sturdy leather. If I could have tried them on first, I would have gone up a half a size to a whole size though.
By boghopper from Michigan on 07/13/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: One look and the excellent craftsmanship is obvious. They were comfortable out of the box, but the boot feels narrow at the ball of the foot. I use them for mostly day hikes, but in all kinds of weather and terrain. The silicone impregnated leather gives high water resistance, and the leather thickness provides extra protection and durability.
just what i was looking for By redwoman from ashland, or on 07/02/2008 Pros: Awesome, Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i hike all day off trail in the mountains for work, and after some recent weeks of wet feet and foot pain, was dying for some serious all leather boots. these are perfect. they are breaking in pretty easy, though ive got hotspots on my heels. the soles are hardcore, and they have incredible ankle support. my first day out with them i had a close call - in my old asolos id have had a bad twist im sure.) they are a lovely color too, the only problem is that if you need to give them a serious waterproofing (which i did) the color goes from blue green to dark olive green. the pretty nubuck look and color wont last if you need these to be real backcountry boots. being full leather and having those thick treads, they are also quite hot and are heavy. if you dont care about those things, then buy these boots already! theyre great!
By Love Hiking from Sacramento on 06/28/2008 Best Uses: Back packing, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was unsure about ordering a boot I did not try on first, so I ordered 2 pairs, my size, and 1/2 a size larger. The 1/2 size larger actually worked out best and I sent the other pair back. I am so happy with my new boots. They are attractive and comfortable.

By cmel from north kaibab plateau on 05/08/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had no problem breaking these boots in, I had to go a full size larger than my normal size so my feet can swell when I hike in hot weather. They were comfortable from day one!
