By Trailweathered from Northeast Oregon on 06/24/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Water Resistant Cons: Not Durable/ Wears Easily Best Uses: Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Environmentalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I broke these boots in day hiking twice, approx 20 miles each time. I used them backpacking in Hell's Canyon for 4 days, 60 miles total. After that hike I took them out for another day hike and the soles started popping off. The glue holding the outsoles to the uppers seemed to have quit completely. I was disappointed to have a "high quality" boot fall apart so quickly. I WILL be returning these. [...]

light weight and comfortable By puf from Idaho on 05/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: short of needing to use crampons, this boot is really solid. the comfort is there right out of the box. the heel padding in enough to capture my narrow heel and hold it down. the sole is stiff enough to allow one to walk on rocks all day and not feel them. the height of the boot allows more freedom at the ankle while providing good lateral support. look forward to many more miles in these boots.
By n/a from Wa. State on 05/23/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was hoping these would work out for me because they are so well made and thought out. But they were too narrow at the front, causing my toes to scrunch together tightly. They are probly ok for normal medium width feet though. Mine just happen to get wide at the toes. It's very hard to fit my feet. Very frustating, especially when I find a well made product like these.

The onle complaint i have is that the laces are not long enough and the heel needs more cushioning. Both problems are easily fixed. Boot has great support seems well made...Time will tell.
Oh yes and the boot leather looks better in real life than the picture justifies.
Replaced A Worn-Out Pair Of Raichle's By MikeZ from Calabasas, CA on 03/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great boots--just read the reviews around the 'Net--replacing a pair 10 or 12 years old.
Note:
Ordered US 11.5 (unless sizes listed were in UK?) but received US 12.5. Good thing, because the US 12.5 feels like 11.5!
