By Bree from Los Angeles, CA on 06/27/2008 Pros: Durable, Functional, Variety Of Tools Best Uses: Camping, Cycling, Home, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this multitool for camping, but it's nice to have around the house or in the trunk of your car. The tool itself seems like good quality and the pliers are great for getting at small bolts, etc! It takes a moment to get at the tool you want, so if you need a knife or screwdriver in a hurry this may not be the tool for you.
Also, there IS room in the back of the sheath for the bits that come with this tool (Obviously some reviewers did not notice this!)
The sheath is obviously cheaply made, but works just fine for my purposes. All items fit snugly into it and don't rattle around. The wood grips on this multi tool also give it a classier feel. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this for anyone who is into boating, camping, or cycling!
Excellent tool to have w/you at all time By Jim from Winters, Texas on 06/27/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Functional, Sharp Blade, Variety Of Tools Best Uses: Camping, Home, Hunting Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only negative is belt strap on the case ripped loose the first time I attached it to my belt.
Bits don't fit well, otherwise good By Climbing Jeff from Alabama on 05/27/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade Cons: screwdriver bits loose Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Comments: The screwdriver bits should fit tighter, otherwise this is a highly durable knife. Blades and tools are tight set & high quality.
Nice, but difficult to get tools into op By Fred from Florida on 05/27/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pliers that spring back open are good. The overall tool is good, but it is not easy to get the particular blade or tool you want into use. The set of screwdriver tips is useless because there is no place in the sheath to store them. Also the sheath is poor quality.
By The Volksmarcher from Fort Polk, LA on 05/19/2008 Pros: Multiple Functional Tools Best Uses: Office and misc uses Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought to keep at the office. Great for stuff...opening supply boxes, tightening loose chair screws, hanging pictures, taking apart desks, etc.
One of the best of the all-in-ones!! By A Tool Geek from Indiana on 05/14/2008 Best Uses: Homeofficetravelling Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've just received this multi-tool, but it appears to be the best I've had. Great design, good feel, and easy to carry--plus the added driver and bits make it a real STP bargain!! If you've only got room to pack one tool, this is a great choice! I've already recommended it.
By OuPhronsis from CT, USA on 05/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Spring Loaded Pliers Best Uses: Road Trips, Theatrical Tech Work Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Knife is dull, tools difficult to open from handles.
Alright, but bulky and heavy By Generichandle from Riverside, CA on 04/28/2008 Cons: Awkward accessory storage, Mediocre setup Best Uses: Campgrounds, Day Trips, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Looked nice in the picture, with the wood handle inserts, but found it to be generally mediocre. I find it bulky and heavy, and not suited to what I had intended it for (backpacking), so it'll probably end up languishing. The sheath is loose fitting, so the tool flops around a bit inside. The accessory tool set, while useful, doesn't entirely fit in its storage pocket, so it sticks out a little. As well, the magnetic chuck (for lack of a better word) that holds the accessory bits during use, clings very loosely. It is usable, but as I said, it is generally mediocre. Finally, I think the steel is kind of soft, so though easy to sharpen, I'm doubting the edge-holding ability. One doesn't get a sense of a well-though-out design, but it works. One final note about the description: the "saw" is really more of a serrated blade, which is more suited to cutting tomatoes than emergency firewood.
Straight into my tool box By Gonzo from La Marque, TX on 04/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable Best Uses: Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Perfect for my traveling truck tool box
Great Tool, but not lightweight By Baldy in CO from Denver, CO on 04/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable Best Uses: Campgrounds, Day Trips, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased it for hunting and fishing, but the tool is a bit heavy for carrying all the time. The features of the tool are good.
