Finsport 6006 Fly Wallet- Rates a Thumbs
By DLogerVerified Reviewer from Boca Grande, Florida on 09/24/2009
Pros:
Easy To Use, Functional, Great Capacity, Takes up little space
Cons:
Small Bags not needed
Best Uses:
Flies stored flat fresh, Only hold large flies, Salt Water
Describe Yourself:
Professional
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Looking at the reviews that where poor makes me wonder were these people are fishing. This was not designed to hold your Parachute Adams, Royal Wulffs or you 3D Redfish flies. It is streamer containment system that can hold all the flies you will ever need, much more than most fly boxes and it takes up little space in you gear bag, vest or grab and go bag.Any questions? You can look me up here- www.adventurekayakfishing[@]All of my EP minnows are stored flat, fresh and untangled in their own individual poly bag. I get these from U-Line dirt cheap and 5000 should last a long-long time. I love this fly wallet and it has served me very well, highly recommend if you are a saltwater angler of a Salmon fly flinger that slings many flies that need to be stored flat.

good idea, poor execution
By stikkmann from direct to you from kalamazoo on 07/13/2009
Cons:
Poor Design
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This system is nothing more than zip-lock bags in a cordura-type wallet. Unfortunately the bags are larger than the wallet enclosure--and since the wallet design does not zip shut, their corners stick out beyond the edges of the wallet (more so than the photo shows)--which translates into they will catch on everything, and prematurely wear out

Not very useful
By long rods rock from SE PA on 03/09/2009
Cons:
Poor Design
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This wallet is a bunch of zip-lock baggies bound together in a canvas pouch. It would only be suitable for classic wet flies - anything that is 3 dimensional would get crushed.

OK, but not great
By 2bardave from San Carlos, CA on 02/11/2009
Cons:
Poor Design
Best Uses:
Fresh Water
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
While I am typically a big fan of Finsport products this particular design is weak. The wallet does not actually zip close so the plastic bags are exposed. This might be good for expandability but does not seem secure or durable.

Other streamer wallets were too big to put in my vest pocket or too small to hold a good variety. This wallet is just right!

By Bassmaster from friggin jersey!!!!!! on 05/06/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional, Versital
Cons:
No noticable faults
Best Uses:
Fresh Water, Kayaking, Salt Water, Traveling
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I use these salt water kayak fishing as it enables me to carry lures (soft baits)easily and keeps them dry while the cockpit is wet. When done for the day I just hose them off and let them dry. The ziplock portions are also inter-changable allowing for custom lure choices for each trip out!!!!
