Handy to have, esp. on uneven terrain! By Jean McBean from Joplin, MO on 01/06/2008 Pros: Easy to adjust, Flexible, Good grips, Lightweight, Strong Cons: No problems with these Best Uses: Casual walking, Day trip, Elderly person stability, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am somewhere between minimalist and comfort driven, but as I get older I need more comfort than minimalism. I bought my pair of these poles after I had hip replacement surgery. I bought a second pair for my 80+ year old mother to aid her stability when walking. I have a pair of Kemperdell XC ski poles that sometimes collapse without warning, but these trekking poles have never done that.
