I bought two and the zippers on both of them broke within two washings. I removed the padded roll and washed it in cold water with the zippers closed. Did not dry it in the dryer but it still seemed to shrink. It was VERY difficult to reinsert the padded roll after a wash.

We have a smaller than average lab (55-60lbs) and when we put this on our couch there isn't enough depth for her to lay down. The bolster, while great for protecting the couch, takes up too much real estate. Ironically our dog loves it when we leave it on the floor but won't get on it when it's on the couch. I'm thinking at this point we may return it and get something with some more padding that goes on the floor.

However, my two large dogs thought something different. It may be that the bolster puts the dogs too far out towards the end of couch and makes them feel uncomfortable. It still seems of high quality and I really wish my dogs would use. They end up on the one third of the couch without it.

Sane people might simply keep the dogs off, but that is not an option for us.

Our dog is a medium sized terrier cross (33#s; about 18" at shoulder. She barely fits on seat cushion.... Not comfortable for me to sit next to her with this on (I'm 5'6" and 140#s....i.e. not huge either)
Does protect & cover fine. Looks nice. Seems durable (just got it and haven't tried to wash)

My daughter just bought a boxer (puppy) & I bought 2--one for her house & one for mine. Both dogs seem happy to use it on the couch. My son doesn't say too much just that the dog uses it & he's had no problems. Since he lives in another state I can't see it now and give a use report. My daughter's Puppy is still very small & only using it for 2 weeks.
