Great Jacket for the Price By Kevin the Angler from Atlanta, GA on 11/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult To Stow Hood Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great jacket for cold, wet weather, especially for the price. My only qualms are that the hood is difficult to stow comfortably, and some of the stitching looks subpar which leads me to question the durability if put through the rigors of any extended outdoors trip.
By Trredrock from Rochester, NY on 10/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Versatile jacket that fits its name "All Around". It's a coat to grab most times you're running out the door.
Size a bit big; need to down size to M By rca from San Jose, CA on 09/24/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Cannot wait until weather gets cold enough to try this out
By Chief from Eastern NC on 02/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great mid-weight coat. My only negative comment is that the zipper is on the wrong side - it zips from the women's side so it is a little awkward but I'll get used to it.
By bmansdad from Woodland Park, CO on 02/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this mostly as a casual workday jacket. It is very comfortable, all the pockets are PLENTY deep and the sleeves are perfect length for me (6'2"). The only thing I don't care for is the left side zipper, but I have other Lowe Alpine gear and that seems to be the way they do things. This jacket is definitely worth taking the time to learn to "opposite" zip.
By Trawlerman from Huntington Harbour, CA on 02/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very waterproof, good for hiking and sailing. The garment skin is a little stiff becasue of the waterproofig property. I returned it becasue I wanted something a little softer for casual wear.
great value in well designed coat By Swedetown skier from Calumet Michigan on 02/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Multi-purpose, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: don't expect this coat to be breathable enough for crosscountry skiing or other high exertion activities. its trim fitting but full through the shoulders(athletic cut);suggest ordering up one size if you plan on using for under 20 degree weather as the coat has light weight fleece insulation and you may find you need a sweater.
Difficult zipper, damaged zipper By Joe from California on 02/02/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The zipper is the worst I've ever used. Even if the zipper nub was not missing it is a low quality zipper.
By Fowler from Ft. Worth, TX on 01/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Warm Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is great! It has just enough insulation to be usefull but not enough to be poofy. I don't feel like it is quite breathable enough to be a great technical piece but as far as being a good all around jacket it's very good. My only gripe would be that the hood is not removable.
By Outdoor Guy from Southern Pines NC on 01/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only thing I do not like about this jacket is the hoood is a bit bulky when rolled and stored in the collar.
Excellent performance for the money.
