By MRB from Madison, WI on 09/04/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The main comment (concern) is that the spring does not allow the floataway chair to face forward or fit well within the frame. It lists to one side and the wooden bar on the chair hits the frame. It's too heavy/bulky to be portable.

By sjh from Des Moines, IA on 06/21/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Easy Set Up Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This was the heavier chair stand offered. Heavy enough for our family use. One person can move it short distances. Plastic stabilizers flimzy. Chai top wood stabilizer bangs slightly against frame, as the description says it's not for swinging. Adjustable stand for different heights etc.

It's Bigger Than You Think By Backyard Lounger from Lanse,MI on 05/28/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Hanging out in the backyard. Easy to set-up. Bulky, I can't move it by myself.
By Cookie from Maryland on 04/19/2009 Pros: Compact, Easy Set Up, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great stand for our macrame swing. I have had the swing for years without a strong tree to hang it, so we hung it on the kids' playground in a sort of awkward way. This stand is solid and best of all is the price. I've seen these stands sold elsewhere for $150.
not well designed- tippy and chair bangs By cp from Houston, TX on 03/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: the chair with the stand is great but the stand itself is unstable if raised high enough to get your butt off the ground. but even if you can tolerate the lowest height the chairs dowels bang into the stand for a not so restful situation.
By nan runner from wisconsin on 07/17/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: great for stationary use
By River Rat from Pacific Northwest on 07/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Set Up Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Simple to set up and provides hours of comfortable, spring-assisted suspension through the provided spring and the natural flexing of the frame.
This beats a solid eye hook installation as it provides a way to situate a hanging chair without repositioning an eye hook in an overhead rafter many times until you are happy with the placement position.
The portability factor is worth the price.
By momsom from La Canada, CA on 06/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Set Up Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great product if you are going to keep your swing chair in one place and you do not want to drill holes or have no beams. I had wanted one more portable, so I returned it. It did not come with assembly instructions, but it is easy to figure out. Very sturdy and adjustable
