By eb from Portland, OR on 06/09/2008 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It only takes a few minutes to set up and seems very sturdy. It's also remarkably lightweight for what it is (strong enough to suspend a person in a chair).
Downsides: rather bright green (not typical lawn-furniture dark green) and the paint scratches very easily. There's not much room to swing in comparison to hanging from an overhead beam or tree limb, but I don't think there's any way around that. Definitely worth the money at STP prices; not sure I'd be happy if I'd paid retail.

By The Transfers Guy from Cheyenne, WY on 04/29/2008 Cons: Difficult Set Up, Heavy Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very sturdy stand for the Floataway Chair, useful if you cannot put the hook into the ceiling or where ever you put the chair.
Very sturdy and durable, however it is also very heavy, and slightly difficult to put together. Some pieces do not fit precisely and have to be forced into place. But once it is set up it will last.

Impressed by the beefiness of this produ By the housewife from Reynoldsburg, OH on 04/10/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have been waiting years to use our Hawaii Chair and this stand fits the bill. I like being able to assemble it with no tools. We are looking forward to using all over our yard. Well made.
By The Volksmarcher from Fort Polk, LA on 04/02/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used on the back porch/yard. We rent so we didn't want to drill a hole into the wood beams. The base is kind of wide, but the adjustability is nice. It's very stable and sturdy. It can handle our four and two year olds jumping and swinging on it.
