By team grace from Michigan on 07/08/2009 Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: When adjusting the length of the walking stick, it would pull out past the point of proper adjustment. Then, it would be hard to "unstick" to get it back into the proper length. I am constantly concerned that I am going to over pull and break the stick. The adjustment should "click" into position instead of being sticky and forcing the handler to pull so hard that you pull past the appropriate adjustment point. I have not used this pole in the field yet, but it does not feel a strong as I would have liked.
By Windancer from Arizona on 07/06/2009 Pros: Easy to adjust, Good grips, Lightweight Cons: Waaaay too short for most Best Uses: OK for those under 5'5" Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a nice little walking cane for those on the short side. Not for hiking...much too short for men or taller women.

perfect for walking off the cement. My rubber tipped cane slips at times. This walking stick with projecting point gives much more stability.
By Jaffrey from Maine on 05/31/2009 Pros: Easy to adjust, Flexible, Good grips, Lightweight, Strong Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good quality hiking cane. Not as tall as one of those full length poles. Perfect for rough trails where a little extra balance goes a long way.
I also use this for wading across streams with slick rocks. Quite sturdy and light weight.
