Best choice for every day By Ron, ex backpacker and spelunker from Centreville, Maryland on 12/12/2007 Pros: Easy to adjust, Good grips, Lightweight, Strong Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Every day, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Even though I have physical problems that make walking difficult I still enjoy walking in the wilderness. This cane can be used for the wilderness AND every day mall and museum walking. Its "techy" and attractive enough so I don't look like my 64 years of age. I own two of these and keep one in the car in case I forget to take the other. The shock absorber helps my wrist from getting tired at the end of the day. It is a step above the J-Shaped, aluminum, "geezer" cane I used to own.
By Laurel from Clemson, SC on 12/06/2007 Pros: Good grips, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This was a gift for a friend, who loved the grip. We couldn't get the pole to lock at first, though. It seems the arrows indicating the "open/close" directions are applied backwards, or else we read them backwards. Once we figured it out, it was fine. Other than that, it's great.
By Katrina from Denver, CO on 09/11/2007 Pros: Good grips, Lightweight Cons: Adjustments are plastic Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pole is great. I just wish the tightening pieces were metal, not plastic, so I didn't have to worry about overtightening and breaking them.
This is the cane I use everyday. By Dave from Spring Valley, Ohio on 09/08/2007 Pros: Flexible, Good grips, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great cane. I have a collection of canes and this is the one I use every day. It has been all over the world with me. I hope you don't need a cane every day, but this would be handy for anyone who walks. My friends borrow my spare for hiking and mushroom hunting. The spike tip is great in mud.
I have loaned/given these canes to friends of all ages for temporapy (breaks and sprains) and permanent problems.
