By Brewmaster P from Houghton, MI on 05/18/2008 Best Uses: Any time you need light Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this light for fishing and around the house and it has proven to be very useful. I really like that I can charge it through the mains, car, or crank and that the light seems to last for many many hours. On a recent plumbing job I accidentally left it on all day and it was still working fine when I came back to it. That would not be true with either of my other spots or fluorescent lanterns.
It took me a while to realize that there are two settings where it has one or two rows of LED's lit. I think this is a reasonable battery saver for situations when you just need some light, but I found I was switching it to the two rows most times.
The beam is a little diffuse so it is not really a true spotlight, but you should not let that stop you buying one. It is a great thing to have around and I will probably buy another for the Subaru.
This is our second Wagan spotlight.[...] By David the outdoor guy. from Tulsa, OK on 03/18/2008 Pros: Durable, Safe, Works Well Best Uses: Night fishing, Power outages Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used for night fishing at the lakes and when the power goes out a home.
Easy to use and after charging once, it seems like you can keep it charged forever with just a few cranks on the handle.
By jun from Australia on 03/12/2008 Pros: Durable, Safe, Well built, Works Well Best Uses: Spare in the car Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's better built than I had expected for another low priced product from China, feels solid.
The LEDs are not generating enough light. This touch can use as a backup in your car, but don't expect too much for outdoors use such as hunting or fishing
By Paul from Houghton, MI on 01/07/2008 Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this for my boat when returning from fishing trips in the dark. It seems to work pretty well even with the hand cranking. I feel it could be either a little brighter or have a little more focussed beam, but still a good product.
