Pure water for traveling
By Pokey the Tree Hugger from Missouri on 03/09/2009
Pros:
Good Capacity, Impact Resistant
Cons:
Leaks
Best Uses:
Camping, Cycling, Everyday, Gym, Hiking, River Trips
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I use the Bota bottle for traveling and at work plus give them to my friends as a gift. It is reassuring to know that we are drinking pure water in such a polluted world. It is somewhat difficult to get the water through the filter and one has to work at it although it is worth the effort.

I still haven't mastered getting the water to flow easily, but there is a definite trick to it. For the price I'll keep it.

excellant product, pure and simple
By [...] from etowah, nc on 02/18/2009
Pros:
BPA Free, Good Capacity, Retains Temperature, Slim Design
Cons:
Hard work
Best Uses:
Camping, Everyday, Hiking
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
when drinking, there are water and air bubbles when the bottle is half full or less. It takes a little getting used to what is the best angle to hold the bottle. It would be dangerous while cycling because the angle of the bottle is so steep.

More water!
By mbhockey8Verified Reviewer from Palmetto, FL on 02/11/2009
Pros:
BPA Free
Cons:
Hard to squeeze, Slow flow
Best Uses:
Camping
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This bottle is better than the $40 one I purchased from [@] but I'm still not completely satisfied. The bottle must be squeezed very hard in order to get any water to come through the filter, I feel like I'm going to blow the top right off! It nearly takes two hands. And the water flow is too slow for my liking.

I have not used this in the field as yet, however, the complaints I have read about do not seem to apply. The bottle squeezes OK, and the filter design seems foolproof.

Good for Emergencies
By Christov_TennVerified Reviewer from Loathsome Stepford, Tennessee on 09/05/2008
Pros:
BPA Free, Good Capacity, Impact Resistant, Inexpensive, Simple
Cons:
Kind of a tough squeeze
Best Uses:
Car Trunk for Emergencies, River Trips
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I grew up in the Port of Los Angeles, though not actually in the harbor's waters. So anyway, earthquakes were pretty frequent. It behooves one to always have access to something that will make water potable.

Comments:
Product is good to keep in your pack for emergencies. Construction is fine, flow is a little slower than desired but more than adequate. Fellow hikers used and had no issues from lake water. Absolutely cannot beat the value.
