Well, they're snowbaskets By Outdoor gal from New England on 04/02/2009 Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip, Mountaineering, Snowshoeing Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Lost my old poles. New ones came with summer baskets, which I don't really need. I do need winter baskets. These are just the same as my old ones, but if I ever find some old-fashioned ones the size of saucers, I'll get them for powder. Only problem I had with these was getting summer baskets off and these on. Holding under hot water for a few minutes did the trick, but move fast.
