By Cindy S. from Greater St. Louis on 01/02/2008 Pros: Easy to adjust, Good grips, Lightweight, Strong Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have had a pair of Komperdell hiking poles for several years. I am amazed at how much further I can comfortably hike with them, and the increased confidence I have on rugged terrain. My daughter is a forester and avid wilderness explorer. She was somewhat resistant to using hiking poles but I talked her into taking mine on her last backcountry trip. She loved them and had to have a pair of her own. These are excellent. We really like the cork handles - mine are not.
