By weather enthusiast from Atlanta on 05/16/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Does not receive ANY of 7 NOAA weather stations from anywhere in my house or on the property. Totally useless.
Did not perform as expected By Tool-using Mom from Baltimore, Md on 05/08/2008 Pros: Compact, External antenna jack Cons: Low volume, Needs external antenna, Only 3 of 7 NWS stations, Static filled reception Best Uses: Car Camping, Day trip Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Of the 3 stations received, only high powered Tx in area "downwind" in range of used location. We already had the weather just being warned about. Ok if you need 5-day forecast, not good for dangerous weather. Receives 164.400,162.475,162.550. Check [@] for transmitters. OK product **if** your local station is one of these 3 frequencies.
