By Meme from Newfoundland on 02/12/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They are definitely small make. It seam they are youth sizes with a perfect tiny waist...I am 54 years old and I wear size 4-6 petite, and in regular size, I wear 2 (4 if they are small make). After reading the advise of a petite person ( not big for a petite person ) I order size 4 (thinking in regular sizes) well, they were two sizes small! I returned them and order size 8. They are still a little small in the waist and snug on the hip but I like them. They are nice looking pants.
By One Man Parade from Oxford,MS on 02/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Extra long sleeves, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking, Outdoor Fitness, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great multi-use jacket. Good quality material, but cant vouch for duarability, as it is new. I'm 6'2'', and had to get the XL to be comfortable. L was overall uncomf., tight, and too short on the waist. The sleeves on this jacket are longer than most, and may be too long for shorter people; great for me. Length to waist not overly long, but adequate. Will be using for ski trip, backpacking, and everyday. Not rec for biking. You WILL get hot, and its too bulky for carrying while navigating single track. Good for layering, warm enough for 40's in the humid South.
By Jane from MA on 02/11/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really liked the non-bulky style of these pants, however, the sizing is way off. I ended up having to return them and unfortunately the returns aren't free.
Nice overall quality and fit for movt. By Reno from Oxford, MS on 02/09/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great mutli purpose jacket, without the bulk. I am 6' 2'', 185 lb. Had to send back and get the XL. L was uncomfortable and too short on the waist. Sleeve lenght is great for me, would be too long for some. Will be using to ski, hike, and everyday to work. The wind block is awsome!
I would buy this product again. By Ski Bunny from Chicago, IL on 02/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these pants downhill skiing and loved them. They were very warm without being bulky and were very comfortable. I purchased these 2 sizes up (per some of the recommendations from people who bought them before me), but probably should have gone with only 1 size up. I only wore a light layer underneath (under armour) so 2 sizes up was too much. I would definitely recommend these to someone who is looking for stylish ski pants that are warm but not bulky. The price is also very reasonable in comparison to some of the brands I found at the larger sporting good stores.
Great jacket for mild cool weather! By Long time STP customer from Cupertino, CA on 02/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: One of my favorite jackets since can wear indoors like a fleece and outdoors. A bit thin (I think it's about a Polartec 100 thickness) if less than 55 degrees and no ability to tighten the cuffs if really windy, but otherwise great. Definitely blocks wind. In terms of size, I'd say it's sized more like a fleece/sweather than a ski jacket, i.e. not that much room to wear anything thick underneath. Several people already complimented it, and I usually don't get compliments on my jackets :-)
By katpie from Gainesville, Florida on 02/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Photography trips Gear Usage: Cold wet photography Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have two pairs of these pants and have used them on photography trips where we sat on the edge of a pond in Iceland and also in Alaska where it got pretty chilly while standing there. They are completely waterproof, block the wind, and are lightweight to carry in your suitcase. The lining is only mesh so I don't know if these would work for really cold activities. Has two deep zippered pockets in the front but would be nice to have a cargo pocket. Waist is adjustible with velcro straps. Inside gaiters tuck into your boots.
Great fit -I ordered same size as always By Cold and Vain from Seattle on 02/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: After-ski, Cross Country Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great fitting pants - I have been looking for a long while. However, I ordered 1 size up as reccommended and had to exchange for normal size which fits as expected. Maybe it has to do with the fact that they are very high-waisted, a style most probably haven't worn in some time!
By George from Madison, WI on 02/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's a little snug across the shoulders and chest when layering, but otherwise fits very well, performs very well, even on the many days when the temp barely rises above 10 degrees.
By skimom from suffield, ct on 02/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These soft shell ski pants are old school cool. They bring back the 70s, and I mean that in a good way. They are comfortable, functional and beautifully made.
