By deerskin from Mpls on 01/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Snug Fit, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great cut and fit and color and fabric. Snug fit but even for a busty gal like me it's not squishing my front flat. I would wear this as a top when it get warmer. Very attractive but not all girly-girl.
I wanted to love this shirt.... By Frieda from Minneapolis, MN on 01/29/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Competition, Running, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Icebreaker shirts -- they get softer with wear, they don't hold odors (even after DAYS of exercise in between washings) and they wash up beautifully. This one had to go back, though. The raglan sleeve design with a panel that runs from wrist to waist means excess material bunches in the armpit area. It wasn't comfortable during the movement necessary for cross country skiing! Size was on the snug side, but appropriate for a base layer.

Icebreaker woolies are soft and warm, they never hold onto body odors, and they wash up beautifully!
By Outdoorsy Dancer from Los Angeles, CA on 01/29/2008 Pros: Breathable, cute, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Dancing, Sports Wear Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just received this, so I don't know how it will do over time, but for now I'm quite excited. I teach dance in studios that are routinely 55-65 degrees - pretty cold to be rolling around without decent layers on - so I'm hoping this will be a good solution. I wore it today over a sports bra and it was sleek, soft, and warm. Fit-wise, the straps leave it hanging a bit low on my chest; I'll either shorten the straps or I might try an XS. (I'm almost always a Small - thin and muscular with a 34B-C chest.) I also ordered one of the long-sleeve tops, listed as "Trim Fit," and it's definitely smaller than this "Classic Fit" item.

I teach dance in studios that are routinely 55-65 degrees - pretty cold to be rolling around without decent layers on - so I'm hoping this will be a good solution. I also ordered one of the camisoles, which I wore today and loved. The most surprising thing about this shirt is that it’s SO CUTE. I wore it with jeans and it was like any trendy, thin T - except so much warmer. Slightly odd about the fit: the shoulder seams don’t quite make it to edges of my shoulders, as if it’s too small… and yet it doesn’t actually feel small; even the armpits are okay. Also, I wish the sleeves were a bit longer – they go right to my wrists and I’d like to be able to pull them onto the heels of my hands. (Size Small, I’m 5’5”) FYI – they really mean “Trim Fit;” I’m quite thin/muscular and it hugs me very well. That’s good for dancing, but if you want some room, you should probably order a size up.
By Frieda from Minneapolis, MN on 01/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Running, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear the 200s as a baselayer while doing some strenuous cross country skiing. I'm amazed that they can keep me comfortable whether temps are at 11 or 29. They're soft, they don't hold body odors, and when needed they wash up beautifully.
By Frieda from Minneapolis, MN on 01/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this shirt! I wear it cross-country skiing (this weight is perfect for heavy exercise in single digit temps), I wear it to work and I wear it around the house -- surprisingly, it never makes me too hot. It doesn't hold onto body odors (even with day-after-day vigorous exercise), never feels clammy, and washes up beautifully. The zip collar is great for temperature regulation. The sleeves come with thumb holes, so they don't come up short either.
