Icebreaker

Icebreaker

An introduction to the merino wool that would later launch his business wasn’t something the founder of Icebreaker expected from a 1994 meeting with a New Zealand sheep farmer. But when he felt the merino wool, he realized its lightweight, non-scratchy and washable warmth was a great alternative to both synthetic fabrics and traditional wool for clothing items like long underwear and performance shirts. He launched Icebreaker in 1995 and began selling merino wool clothing including long underwear, thermals and wicking T-shirts. Most of the merino wool Icebreaker collects comes directly from New Zealand, and Icebreaker has forged deep relationships with the farmers who care for the sheep. Rest assured while wearing Icebreaker merino wool clothing that your garments are of the highest quality and ethical standards.

Usually large size tops are very comfortable, sometimes even a medium will do. This top feels little too snug in the torso. But I like Icebreaker products, wear well and are very durable.

I love Icebreaker. I've owned other merino wool tops and Icebreaker is by far the most durable. While other pieces run in under a year Icebreaker takes a beating and holds up. Doesn't stink like other outdoor tops and airs nicely. Perfect camping/hiking/training.

This shell is so flattering, my husband (who, frankly, NEVER compliments me) said 6 times the first evening how great I looked. The wool and construction are such high quality, it's so comfortable, it's so good looking that I wear it every day as a layer. The only problem is I'm going to need a second one so I can wash this one sometimes!

This product is as expected. Great baselayer for cold weather hiking or activities. I usually wear a large but ordered an XL in this product which fits perfectly. Icebreaker makes good stuff. Only issue is that it gets a bit staticky when you take off an over-layer. But that is normal for wool.

I love Icebreaker clothing! This top is super warm when I need it to be but doesn't get too hot when the temp goes up. It has a flattering fit (except the blue part under the arm has a bit of extra fabric. It never gets in my way though and doesn't look bad.) I use this as a layering piece and it breathes really well. It's perfect for going backpacking in cooler temps. It's lightweight, doesn't smell at all, and keeps me moving comfortably. I highly recommend this top!

I usually wear size L shirts in everything, however my roommate had an XL and I tried that before I bought one. The XL fits me perfectly.
