Great boot, just too narrow for me By Chris from Seattle, WA on 06/30/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Flexible, Lightweight, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Day Hiking, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These seemed like great boots, and they almost worked out for me. Unfortunately I have feet on the wide side, and these were just too narrow. If you have feet on the narrow side, I would recommend them, as they were lightweight, well built, had great traction, and would probably serve you well!

They're versatile- outdoor or indoor climbing- and I have used them a lot and they're holding up well. Great edges and nice "suction cup" things on the heel. Great value.

By librarywurm from Los Angeles on 06/29/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Climber Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Unbelievably small. Order up at least a full size, if not more. I couldn't even unbend my big toe. I wear an 8, and ordered size 39. Had to return them.

I have been climbing outdoors about 3-4 times a week for the last 3 months, and these shoes still look new. My only regret is I wished I ordered a second pair (settled with Scarpa lace-ups instead).
Great shoe, comfortable while aggressive By climber321 from Florida on 06/25/2009 Pros: Attractive color, Comfortable, Retains downturn, Sticky rubber Best Uses: Bouldering, Indoor, Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Avid Climber Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these shoes. They are aggressive without being painful. The Vibram XS Grip is super sticky and I find I am very confident with my footwork in these shoes. Edging performance is terrific. The feel is somewhat similar to the Sportiva Miura but more aggressive and downturned. I've worn them on routes up to 5.12 with success. I also have the Rockettes which are more downturned and I like them too but they kill my feet on long routes. I did go half size bigger on these Sphinxs because I wanted a shoe for long routes and long days outside and I feel that I didn't give up much in performance by doing that. (For reference, I am size 7 street, 37 Rockettes, 37.5 Sphinx and 35.5 Miura).
Just what I needed for starting. I like the versatility of the shoes. Easy on, easy off.

Not only do our Italian friends built great cars, but also great recreational footware--for serious recreationalists...
Very happy with Scarpa trail shoes By Emptynester34 from Madison Heights, MI on 06/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband works in tree service and wears them everyday. Good support and traction while lightweight. Much better than gym shoes. Squeaked for a day and then it was gone. Great shoe for a great price. Good color for working in dirt!
