By zolek from Palmdale, CA on 11/06/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Cons: Difficult Laces, Heavy Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Those are heavy, but extremely durable boots. Work great with step-in crampons and are very warm. The only problem is sizing. I am 11 1/2 for most of the footwear, wear shoes from 11-12, depending on the manufacturer. First ordered these in 11 1/5 (12 1/2 US), when I tried them on they were too tight. Exchanged them for 12 (13US) and they fit quite well with a heavy weight wool sock, would be nice to have some extra space for a second sock, but I will most likely purchase high altitude liner if I will decide to climb Denali. Try them on first in your local retailer and then order them here. STP has a great exchange policy and instant credit is the smartest thing ever!

By mountainmama from Colorado Springs, Co on 11/05/2009 Best Uses: Indoor, Sprint Climbs Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes felt a little bulky, I prefer a style that is more streamlined with laces, so I can adjust the fit. The rubber is great. I have wide feet so these shoes were a good pick for me. My toes were not on top of each other.
By The Dude from North Dakota on 11/04/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Rugged, Weather Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are really great boots. The uppers flex pretty well for being plastic. They accept my clip style crampons perfectly. Mine came with the old Thermofit liner, not the new Intuition liners that Scarpa has been putting in the Omegas since 2008. Mine were manufactured in 2006, so they're a bit old, but still very good boots. The arches are a bit high, but the sizing is very true (keeping in mind the European thing). I ordered my normal size and there is enough room to put on a liner sock and a heavyweight wool sock. You can also modify the fit a little bit when you mold the liners. Overall, an excellent boot - excited to climb in it soon!
Nice shoe but fit is a little sloppy By Sparks from San Diego CA on 11/02/2009 Pros: Easy on off, Lightweight Cons: Not as precise feeling Describe Yourself: Avid Climber Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It's a reasonably nice shoe at a very nice shoe but not terribly precise feeling at least on my feet. I have other lace-up Scarpa shoes at the same size that feel much more precise. I'll use them in the gym, perhaps thin cracks
By Bill from NJ on 10/31/2009 Describe Yourself: Getting Started Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great look(color and rubber grip, just to small. I ordered a half size smaller than my street size and they were way to small. suggest street size or even a half a size larger. They will stretch because they are leather but I could not even bare the pain of the new shoe.

Great traction, incredibly stable. gave it four stars as it felt a little hard underfoot. Would have liked more cushion.

If you are wanting something that you can spend all day in climbing in Yosemite, Red Rocks, Indian Creek or just your local crag, these are the shoes for you! They pop on and off easily, and the velcro LASTS. Great shoe.
