National Geographic

National Geographic

On January 27, 1888, 33 explorers and scientists organized a society “for the increase and diffusion of geographical knowledge”. The world may have changed dramatically during the last century, but The National Geographic Society has remained a prestigious constant in a world hungry for knowledge. From cartography to photography, National Geographic has no equal in bringing the fruits of its explorations into the palms of our hands… through its esteemed magazine, award-winning television programming, and interactive maps and CD’s that allow you plan your vacations and trail adventures using elaborate topographic maps that profile elevation and distance.

Make sure you check your operating system before purchase!! We have Windows Vista and can only use the topo maps. Yes, I should have checked, but this must be the reason it is so cheap to buy...it won't work on the newer systems.

It is really just a regular old map. Nothing terribly special. Better to go to AAA and get one free (if you're a member).

Pros:
Good Capacity
Describe Yourself:

Primary use:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Nice map of the area, but still just a map. 4 out of 5 stars simply because this area is difficult to find in a good map. This is a nice layout of an area that is, of course, worthy of study (by kids and adults alike).
