National Geographic

On January 27, 1888, 33 explorers and scientists organized a society “for the increase and diffusion of geographical knowledge”. The world may have changed dramatically during the last century, but The National Geographic Society has remained a prestigious constant in a world hungry for knowledge. From cartography to photography, National Geographic has no equal in bringing the fruits of its explorations into the palms of our hands… through its esteemed magazine, award-winning television programming, and interactive maps and CD’s that allow you plan your vacations and trail adventures using elaborate topographic maps that profile elevation and distance.

National Geographic Middle East and Iraq Wall Map

Useful but Dated
By Johnny RedVerified Reviewer from Fair Oaks CA on 02/19/2009
Pros:
Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, High Quality
Describe Yourself:
Career, Practical
Primary use:
Business
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The kind of map that appears in National Geographic issues, so not as special as I thought. It was also dated in that it was pre-Iraqi Freedom War under George W. Bush. Having been a veteran of that conflict however, I found some of the data quite interesting and useful. This was a sale price, but with shipping, it hardly made it a value purchase.
