Giro

Giro

Giro is a household name for road bike, mountain bike, multisport, snowboard and ski helmets. Giro helmets are built to protect the noggins of novice to elite athletes and are available at a range of price points. Giro road cycling helmets are some of the most technologically advanced and are extra-ventilated for those thigh-burning hill climbs. Giro’s versatile mountain bike, multisport, ski and snowboard helmets come either heavy-duty or low-profile in design, and all of their helmets offer lightweight, protective in-mold construction. Look for added helmet features like simple twist-knob adjustment and built-in audio systems. And did you know that Giro also produces sleek sunglasses and goggles?

Giro Fuse Snowsport Helmet

Too Small
By kinsykinsVerified Reviewer from Fairfield, CT on 10/02/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Stylish, Well Ventilated
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Athlete
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The helmet looks great and the vents with the slider work well. Unfortunately it doesn't fit. I have a size L Giro Nine helmet and bought a size L in this model, but I can barely squeeze it on - it's at least a half size smaller. So, unfortunately it's going back.

Great Helmet. Fits perfectly, I tried on a couple of other brands and they all felt a little tight or they hurt my head. The ventilation system is awesome and it looks cool too.

Comments:
i measured my head and ordered the medium size. but when i followed the guidelines in the little booklet about proper fit, i could move the helmet around so much that the booklet recommended i move down a size. so i ordered a small size, and it fits perfect!! i'm really happy with this helmet! - it does mark up easily as mentioned by others (matte black finish), so heads up if you care about that sort of thing.

Nice fit, my head measured in the middle of the range for the size and it fits perfectly. I like to wear a ponytail and the back of head adjustments work great... it's easy to wear it with or without one. Comfortable and very easy to adjust.

This is my third helmet and by far the best and it cost less than the other two! What a great thing to put it on, adjust it, and have it fit perfectly. Also it is very comfortable.

crashed in my old one- it saved the back of my head, and broke- just like it was designed to do. the downside is that the color of this one is not what i wanted-thanks to the manufacturer's "improvement process"?

Giro Pneumo Cycling Helmet with Removable Visor

Performance at a reasonable price!
By Madtown BobVerified Reviewer from Madison, WI on 08/11/2008
Pros:
Convenient back-of-head adjustment, Durable, Good ventilation, Lightweight, Nice fit system/pads, Priced right
Cons:
Silver strap shows dirt
Best Uses:
Road cycling
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Cyclist
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The Giro helmets fit my head better than any other. The Pneumo is just as protective as the Atmos or Ionos at a fraction of the price. I cannot tell the difference in the weight between these three models and the ventilation seems comparable. I've got two Pneumos and I just ordered one for my son. I'm inclined to order a few more to have them on hand when my current stash is trashed from a crash or extensive use. The only drawback on the white helmet is the silver/gray chin strap. It shows the sweat after about a dozen hard rides and I have to clean it or gross everyone out.

Great product at a great price. I originally ordered the large (I was right on the boarder line size wise) and returned for the medium without any difficulty. For the price you are not going to find a better helmet.
