Dark navy leather is indistinguishable from black, is very nice.

There is a fairly aggressive lug sole that extends beyond the boot (which you can't see in the photo) that will prevent me from wearing these with anything other than jeans or cords. They are very comfortable and well made, so I'm keeping them. But I'll have to keep looking for boots to wear to work.

Cute boots...but they seem to run small! I can imagine them with a cute skirt and tights. They have a nice plush "furry" lining that is super warm. The only downside is that I ordered a six, which is my usual size (in fact some of my shoes are 5.5!) and they feel just a smidgen too narrow at the widest part of my foot. Since they fit well otherwise, I'm going to take a gamble and keep them. (Of course, I may end up regretting this decision!) But I typically don't have too far to walk in the winter. I also plan to apply a waterproofing treatment to them to make them more practical.

They are stable and have an adequate two box, they do not squeeze my toes. My feet are somewhat narrow, but not enough to warrant narrow shoes. They are tight around the ankle and a little difficult to zip, and require very thin socks. Once worn they loosened up, they are still snug, but do not bother me. My ankles are not slender. All in all a nice boot have worn them several times since receiving them.

So warm, comfortable and classic. The heel is the perfect height for jeans--not too flat, not too tall. I can also wear them for work with casual trousers.

However, they were too narrow for me in the toe box and arch. I wish that were not the case. Reluctantly I returned them.

However, will a fur lining might be all right for here, when I go back to Alabama it would be too hot, for me anyway . These are perfect for both.
