By Ashley from New Mexico on 10/19/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This boot looked cute on the web site, but when I got it, it was really clunky, almost Doc Martens clunky. It fit fine, and would be warm but I couldn't get past the clodhopper aspect. Not what I was looking for.
Do not order half size smaler By Liliana from NY, NY on 10/17/2009 Describe Yourself: Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The boots are good for the prize, just a little heavy. Do not order half size smaller I did and mine boots going back.
By UpStateShoper from Cold Upstate New York on 10/17/2009 Pros: Stable, Warm, Well Made Describe Yourself: High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So I took the site's advice and ordered a half size larger--and i ended up with boots that were too long.. Don't be misled--these boots run true to size. However, they probably fit best if you have skinny ankles. The boots look better in person than on the web. They have a more tapered look, but still have a big toe box. The heel is stable, and the soles are a flexible rubber. The only defect is that the lining is some kind of stiff synthetic mesh that could rub against the ankle and chafe if your socks aren't thick enough. My other pair in this brand has a soft, padded lining, and I much prefer that to the cheaper scratchy lining in this boot. Great boot for the price, though.
By Liliya from NY, NY on 10/16/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Clean Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is true to size, do not order smaller, that's why my boots is going back. Good for this prize. It is durable but too stiff, any way I like it and going to order my size.
By Ashleigh from Chicago, IL on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable, Stylish, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Since i got these last week i've been wearing them every day. They are beautiful, simple and well made. These boots are the opitimy of paired down, practical good design. I love them. The height of the sole and heel make you feel stable in the shoe and make you taller. They are very light. I'm excited to see how they will hold up in the Chicago winter, i'm sure they will do well. One of the reasons I bought them was for the thick sole. The leather super nice. I love the zip closure. These boots are super cute with skirts and leggings. The perfect all around boot. Highly recommended. I get compliments on them all of the time. They fit perfectly now that i returned and got a half size bigger (I'm a 9.5 returned for a 10). I love STP!!!!

This boot works well for both. It looks great in the office and is warm enough for the skating rink. It is very warm and comfortable. I loved the first pair I bought so much, I bought it again in another color!
Good walking/weather shoe By PMac from Madison, WI on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am usually an 8.0 or 8.5, so after reading the other reviews I went went with the 8.5 and those fit well. Very comfortable and cute. Not the most stylish shoes I've ever had, but they are a great all-purpose boot--especially for Midwestern weather.
Note: I also bought a different style Le Canadienne boot and ordered the 8.0 and they feel a little big, so sizes can be tricky.
By busy wife and mom from Fairfax Station, VA on 10/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these to wear in bad weather fall, winter and spring. I have not tested them in rain yet, but they're comfortable, look nice, and seem to be well-made. I wear an 8 or 8 1/2 and have narrow heels. The 8 1/2 fit me perfectly with my winter socks. A bit more arch support would get the 5th star, but not everyone has my flat feet.
stylish boots for bad weather By busy mom and wife from Fairfax Station, VA on 10/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Looking good in weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed dressier boots to wear with slacks this winter. Many reviewers complained that this boot had a tight, narrow fit. I have narrow heels and my feet just flop around in many winter boots, but these fit me perfectly. They don't feel as comfy as your running shoes, but they are just what I wanted...stylish and practical for winter weather. They look durable and well-made. No blisters or pain the first time worn. If you are undecided between two sizes, I recommend the larger. I wear 8 or 8 1/2, and the 8 1/2 is what I needed. With a bit more arch support, I'd give them the 5th star.
