By Strada from Seattle on 07/15/2008 Pros: Durable, Reliable, Smooth Drag System Best Uses: Fly Fishing, River Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These reels are single action, standard arbor that give good service for beginners and those of us wanting to keep things simple for stream and river fishing. The quality and fit are good. It has a clicker that operates in both directions, so no silent retrieve here. The drag is more than you'll need for stream and river fishing. There are no instructions for changing left/right retrieve, but if you are familiar with such reels, there's no problem disengaging and flipping the bearings. It comes set up for left hand retrieve. Or you can call Sage for instructions.
