For throwing your rod in the car, this thing is perfect.
It is easy to disassemble your rod, slip the pieces into the 4 pockets, and zip the case up without having to remove the reel. Every second counts when you're racing your buddy to the first hole of the day.
The down-side: that soft canvas reel case can hold up to car abuse, but forget about checking this case in on a flight.
