The patent leather looks great and doesn't scuff easily, but is a little stiff at first. The thicker heel makes them feel more durable and stable than other heels I have owned.

I DID end up ordering another pair in a half-size smaller. Perfect! I usually wear a 9 1/2 and the 9s fit perfectly with thin socks or tights. Now that I have the right size, I will be wearing these a lot!

I just tried them on and walked a bit--feel very comfortable and very supportive. It's hard to find shoes that are cute and offer good arch support--these seem to fit the bill . . . so far. I consider myself a true size 9 1/2 (though I sometimes have to go up to a 10 in dress shoes). I ordered these in a 9 1/2 and they actually feel loose. A 9 might be better, though I think I will keep these since they feel fine. I bet I'll wear these a lot!
