My dog loves it, but I have to carry it! By Nathan in Yakima from Yakima, WA on 09/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable For Pet, Soft, Thick Cons: Attracts Dirt/Hair, Difficult to Store, Heavy Best Uses: Indoors, Large Pets, Medium Pet, Travel Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this in hopes that it would work out for backpacking with my pup in colder weather. She's 8mo's, and a little over 50lbs so far. This ended up being a little oversized for her, but she took to it right away. She can curl up or sprawl out and still fit on the bed. She even puts up with the cover being zipped over her for a short time (only used it in the house so far, so she gets up a lot).
The biggest problem I have with this is that it's not very packable. I think it actually weighs more and takes up more room than MY 25°F sleeping bag. While it's great for around the house or car-camping, I'm not looking forward to lugging this thing into the back-country for her. If it packed up small enough, I would stuff it in (or strap it on) her pack, but no such luck.
Still, for a short-coat city dog not used to sleeping outside in the cold, this could be the difference between a miserable puppy, or a warm, comfy pup.
By Weim Owner from Phila. Area on 09/24/2009 Best Uses: Active Dogs, Indoors, Larger Dogs, Older Dogs Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like this toy because its all natural and I only select things that are recycled or natural for my dog to play with since chances are she's just going to trash it eventually. This toy is bigger than expect but it looks exactly as it does online. Its pretty strong. The only problem is it doesn't excite my dog. It may be the texture its pretty rough, as you would expect jute to be. But I think the price was good considering the size and I'm sure one of my many foster dogs who visit will be thrilled to play with it so it won't go to waste.
By Campfire Girl from Orange, CA on 09/23/2009 Pros: Easy To Drink From, Good Depth, Good Height Best Uses: Active Dogs, Larger Dogs Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for camping trips. Keeps everything organized and together. The bowls seem to be better suited for bigger dogs. Good value for the price.

ABO Gear Dog Digs Pet Travel Crate - Med By Shelties' Paw from Louisville KY on 09/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Clean, Lightweight Best Uses: Small Animals, Travel Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Dogs chewed thru their other ones (same brand & model) -- despite that, would highly recommend
By Realistic Dog Owner from Portland, OR on 09/20/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport, Effective, Lightweight Best Uses: Medium Size Dogs, Traveling wcrate Trained Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for dogs who will not destroy it trying to get out. It is well built, but if your dog is going to try and claw or chew it's way out, then this isn't one that you will be happiest with in the long run. Best for dogs who are already crate trained to some extent.
Perfect for home and travel. By Pete from WY on 09/19/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable For Pet, Easy To Clean Best Uses: Indoors, Medium Pet, Travel Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My dog sleeps on the travel bed at night and it is perfect for traveling.
By Happy Happy from San Francisco Bay Area on 09/17/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Easy Setup, Good Size, Quality Construction Best Uses: Backyard, Car Camping, Families, Relaxation Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For the money, this product can't be beat! We had other hammocks for about the same price range and none of them was as well-made as this one. The hammock is about 6' long and 5' wide - just nice for 2 adults or 1 adult and 2 kids.
There are 2 metal rings, one at each end. We secured 2 hooks(bought from local hardware store) on our balcony's pillars and hung the hammock there. Like the others mentioned, just adjust the hammock for height as it will sag on load.
We plan to take the hammock car camping too.
The materials used are top-notch and we are looking at other products by ABO for our beach needs.
Thank you STP for offering this fine product.
