Zamberlan

Zamberlan

Zamberlan’s tradition of manufacturing quality hiking boots dates to 1929, when Giuseppe Zamberlan founded a company that is still family-owned, with the third generation actively involved in shoe and boot production, testing and sales. The histories of Zamberlan and Vibram® hiking outsoles are interlocked; when Giuseppe Zamberlan and Vitali Bramani jointly developed now-world-famous Vibram® traction rubber outsoles, they appeared on Zamberlan boots. Legendary quality, durability, support and comfort are joined in handmade Zamberlan hiking boots and trail shoes. Zamberlan now offers that same quality in walking shoes, for those times when you need less support and more comfort.

Zamberlan Lena Trail Shoe (For Women)

Love these shoes!
By SmartAleqVerified Reviewer from PNW on 04/05/2009
Pros:
Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot
Best Uses:
Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Walker/Hiker
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I especially like these because they aren't garishly colored with spangles and bizarre random pink stripes all over them the way most women's running/hiking shoes are these days. They're durable, comfortable, stylish and match my rain jacket. They hide dirt well, too, after a muddy hike.

Zamberlan Lena Trail Shoe (For Women)

Great shoe, but narrow
By Buttercup the ThinkerVerified Reviewer from Salt Lake City, UT on 03/30/2009
Pros:
Durable, Stabilizes Foot
Cons:
Not flexible, Too narrow
Best Uses:
Rocky/Unstable Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Walker/Hiker
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Beautiful sturdy shoe, but I am returning them beacause of the narrow toe box. These use UK sizing, not American, so look up a size chart for this brand to find your size. Two whole sizes down is about right, and remember they run narrow.

too big

Comments:
loved the look, but had to return due to size I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 and the 6.5 were too big. I'm sure a 6 would have fit, but not available. I was disappointed in returning as I really like them.

Comments:
The ankle support on the right shoe was bent inward, which caused immediate discomfort. Upon inspection, it was clear that the two shoes' ankle supports were shaped differently. A shame because the shoes look nice and the left shoe was comfortable.

I'm a caddie on the PGA Tour and these shoes work well for me. Slightyly heavy but not so heavy I'd not wear them. They'd most likely be very good for hiking.

Comments:
I've sent this shoe back twice because of being two small. I read past reviews before I purchased and still couldn't get it right. I really like the way the shoe looks and seems well made. The last shoe I tried I wasn't sure if it was to short or the toe box was narrow so I gave up and exchanged it for a brand that I was sure would fit.
