Not what the Doctor ordered By Snootleather from Fox Island, Wa on 06/21/2009 Cons: Lacks organization, Outdated meds Best Uses: Keep In The Trunk, Quick Fix Describe Yourself: Advanced 1st Aid, CPR Trained Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this to carry on my motorcycle due to its size and weight. Unfortunatly I took a more in-depth look at the kit on the Adventure Medical website, which was a mistake. They have vastly improved the fundimentals kits, which is NOT the kit being sold here. Dont make this mistake.
I was disappointed with the organization of the kit where the contents were placed in ziplock baggies and difficult to identify the item needed. Basically you will have to dump out the contents to find what you need.
This kit will work great for minor injuries, has a very good Guide to Wilderness & Travel Medicine, but I would not take this as my primary kit on an extended excursion.
Not Complete! Not as advertised! By Tengai650 from State College, PA on 06/12/2009 Cons: Incomplete missing items Best Uses: Outdoor Activities, Quick Fix Describe Yourself: CPR Trained Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered two kits, and the following items were missing from EACH kit:
# 2x3" Spenco 2nd Skin
# 3x4" non-woven adhesive knit
The other items are useful, but this sucks because I really only ordered the kits because it was advertised and labeled to contain the Spenco 2nd Skin. Only buy it if it's on sale and you have a coupon deal. Expect missing components.

If you're weekend camping or hiking in for a week this kit will do the trick. There is also a guide to help you through certain emergencies, and for someone like me that is very helpful.

Knowing it's there will give peace of mind, though.

Great First Aid/Gear Aid Kit! By Backpacks with dogs from North Carolina on 05/12/2009 Pros: Easy To Use, Effective, Safe Best Uses: Emergency Preparedness, Keep In The Trunk, Outdoor Activities, Quick Fix Describe Yourself: CPR Trained, Medical Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I first saw this kit at a high end outdoor supplies store. The price tag turned me off. So when I saw it here for much cheaper I had to snag one. It's got a little bit of everything and comes with two simple guides. The supplies are organized with first aid on one side and gear aid on the other side. Everything is nicely organized. The bag itself is quite durable. This kit was clearly well thought out with the backpacker in mind. Love it!
