By Diane108 from Granite Springs, NY on 04/27/2009 Best Uses: Cycling, Hiking, traveling Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have one of these on my bike which has come in very handy in the past. It also has a small carabiner loop for attaching something you need to find quickly (a key or my presta tire valve adapter)Everything seems to be in there including some things you haven't thought of! It's tiny also, around the size of a credit card Besides different sizes of bandages, there are two kinds of pain relievers, sting relief, triple antibiotic salve, bug repellent pads, tick tweezers, etc... When you open it, it's a little like the clowns in the VW Beetle :-)

By Andy the Prepared Man from Spokane, WA on 04/13/2009 Pros: Easy To Use, Effective Best Uses: Emergency Preparedness, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: CPR Trained, Novice First Aid Skills, Parent Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this kit to be used for backpacking with my family and as an emergency first aid kit for a 72 hour kit. I probably could have gathered together all the items in the kit. However, my time is precious and this kit saves me time, as well as money. I have started to read the marine medicene book that is included in the kit. It is not complicated and straight forward. If I was buying this kit, I wouldn't get hung up on the fact that it is a "marine" kit. All the same skills apply when dealing with emergency medicene. The only difference is that there is some specific "marine" related advice when dealing with emergencies at sea or in large bodies of water. It builds on the basic first aid skills that I learned as a Boy Scout with easy to follow diagrams and real world emergency first aid advice. I feel prepared having it and know that I'll have confidence if I have to use it.
