By Active Allie from GC, NY on 06/20/2009 Pros: Easy To Read, Good Quality, Reliable Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have spent so much money on other Iron Man training watches and they break and get discolored within a year. I was determined to find a watch to run, bike and swim with. I didn't need a heart rate monitor, but it was an added bonus, The t1 is great for the price. It has a big face, but I got used to it.
By Coach Joe from Sarasota FL on 06/11/2009 Cons: Difficult To Read, Difficult To Use, Fragile white face Describe Yourself: Athletic, Sculling coach and comp Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: With the tan band the face was difficult to read. Setting the watch was too much trouble and the plastic face appeared too fragile or easily scratched. I sent it back because it just didn't appeal to me as much as I thought it would. The perils and opportunities of buying online. [...]
By Cyclemom2000 from Ohio on 05/31/2009 Pros: Accurate, Compact Design, Easy To Use, Gives A Quick Reading, Great Workout Tool, Versatile Best Uses: Running, Spinning Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a data freak, so this HR monitor gives me what I need. While it is different than the previous brand I used, I'm happy with the amount of info it provides. I also use it as a tool for the cycling classes I teach.
A definite for runners! Accurate reading By run4life... from Canada on 05/29/2009 Pros: Accurate, Comfortable, Easy To Use, Gives A Quick Reading Best Uses: Great training tool, Running, Treadmill Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This watch takes your running to a new level! Excellent quality and will become your best friend. Easy to use and retrieving data is a snap. I would recommend the foot pod(not currently available on this site)as it definitely enhances your run. There's also a more comfortable heart rate monitor(although the one that comes with this watch is suitable)and a PC pod that makes it handy to track your workout sessions. Great price for this watch. I'm extremely happy with this purchase.
By Learning Runner from Raleigh, NC on 05/25/2009 Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Instructions for use are extremely spare, ultimately not helpful. Watch seems to only have military time as an option, which is impractical for me. I gave it my best shot, but it's just too hard for me to use.
By grudolphy[@] from osorno, chile on 05/23/2009 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable Describe Yourself: Athletic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The best cardiac monitor I had, with many funcion like week-month rates, chrono, laps, second hour etc. Big numbers!. At the first time has complicate to use, but then you get to accustomed. Cons: get dirty fast
All looks. Doesn't work good. By Fanatico from Houston, TX on 05/22/2009 Cons: Bulky, Difficult To Use, Unreliable Describe Yourself: Athletic, High End Shopper, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It looks very nice and the red backlight is very cool. BUT it doesn't work for it's purpose. The GPS looses track repeatedly during a normal 5 mile run with CLEAR sky in the city, not even talk about woods, trees... When downloading the recorded track to the PC, these problems with the GPS cause the route to look nothing like the actual one. My 5 miles appeared like they would've been 14, my max speed, 79 mi/h (like my car!), which killed the REAL average speed too. Bottom line: If you want to spend $300/plus in a watch that looks cool but won't work for you as a GPS tracker, buy this. I know that I didn't, so I already returned it. I guess I should have paid attention to the bad ratings too.
