perfect, except for the bottles By kathy the walker from Snoqualmie, WA on 08/12/2008 Pros: Large Capacity, Removable Pouch, Secure Straps Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am training to walk in the breast cancer 3-day. The pockets are a great size to keep all the things I'll need while walking. It fits well and doesn't bother my hips and back.
The bottles are terrible. They don't flow well, you have to squeeze the bottle while sucking like a newborn to get any reasonable amount of liquid.
They also don't do well in the dishwasher, not good in my book.
By Philly3DaySandy from New Jersey on 08/11/2008 Pros: Easy to Refill, Good Water Flow, Large Capacity, Secure Straps Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm participating in the Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3Day this year and I bought this pack to use on the 3Day. I have used it to train with and it really is a great pack! It has plenty of room for all the items I will have to carry with me during the 3Day and that the pack includes two really nice water bottles is the icing on the cake! I promise that if you're looking for a pack for the 3Day, this just may be the pack for you! Plus, if you buy this year's version from another store, you're looking at paying [$] The version you buy from Sierra Trading Post will work just fine for a whole lot less money!
By Sports Nut from Montana on 08/07/2008 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought two of these and one was leaky when not upright.
By Carlo from Independence, OR. on 08/05/2008 Pros: Durable, Good sized mouth, No Plastic Taste Cons: Lid attached by a tether Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Car, Day Trips, River Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Seems like a good product with a decent capacity. The mouth is of a good size for drinking directly from the bottle without it being a sippy cup or one of those annoying pop up tops that the commercial bottled waters all seem to have. You can drink from it like a glass. The lid is attached by an annoying plastic tether so that you must hold the lid out of the way while drinking. A couple of quick cuts with a knife or sharp scissors will take care of that problem. The lid is large enough that there should not be a problem with it getting lost.
Naviti Hydration Waist Pack By brainmapper from Annapolis, Maryland on 07/29/2008 Pros: Easy to Refill, Large Capacity, Removable Pouch, Secure Straps Best Uses: Day Hiking, Multi-Sport, Running Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I primarily use this for extended running treks. It is great for carrying everything needed in terms of hydration and nutrition when traveling fast and light. It fits very comfortably on the waist/back, and allows for sufficient refills on a point-to-point course. The dual bottle carriage allows for water as well as sports drink as choice during competition. One setback of it is that it has a wide back that can be quite stifling in the heat during extended runs (50K, 50-milers), making the lower back feel overheated. Otherwise, if that doesn't bother one, it is a well-made system that provides a carrying system for all of one's fluid and nutritional needs during extended hikes and endurance competitions.
By duckie from Santa Rosa, CA on 07/24/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy To Drain, Good Capacity, Good Grip, No Plastic Taste Best Uses: All day work bottle Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The aqua-green color refreshes just like a drink of cool fresh water. Good design, easy for my finicky hands to manage.
CANTEEN DOES WELL HOLDS ITS OWN By Tracker of Time, Sunshine Guy or Tom from Fort Wayne, Indiana on 07/21/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy To Drain, Good Grip, No Plastic Taste, Retains Temperature Well Cons: NO COVER could use one Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Hiking mainly Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This product is a "Sure Fire" easy and light to carry type product. Excellent for Camping and Hiking! Great for Back Packing also. It is easy to carry, although wish it had a cover to help protect it, that is a down play, but for lightweight travel for hiking it is excellent. Easy to clean and doesn't use up to much space. Keeps your water fairly cool, however would keep your drink much cooler if it had a cover for it. Does not leak around cap or seams. Dropped it a few times on some rough terrain and did not even scratch it or break it. Good product for the price-some of my hiking and camping friends are going to purchase it. If you haven't tried it, do so ! You won't be dissapointed....:) :)
