Ultimate Direction

The Ultimate Direction product line focuses on equipment for endurance sports enthusiasts. Since its inception over 25 years ago, Ultimate Direction has always gotten its inspiration from true adventure events like races on the Canyonlands’ White Rim Trail and the Nordic Birkebeiner. Their products include water bottle holsters, hydration-ready travel packs, and belts that hold only energy gel and salt tablets. The company also makes liquid containers themselves, with perks like insulated hydration pockets, flow-controlling Kicker Valves, and durable, leak-proof bottles. Patented Ultimate Direction gel flasks are durable, ergonomic and have an easy-grip, easy-squeeze shape. Their newer products include cases for urban necessities like laptops and cell phones. Whether you’re facing a trail in the dry Utah desert, a weekend marathon, or business travels through foreign cities, Ultimate Direction has the right product to keep you moving.

Ultimate Direction Flower Water Bottle made from Lexan® resin - 700ML

Why buy bottled water?
By Kayaking FreaksVerified Reviewer from Pennsylvania on 06/05/2008
Pros:
No Plastic Taste
Cons:
Hard to drink out of
Best Uses:
Every day
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
We have great well water at work and home and don't want to buy bottled water, just for the delivery system so to speak, meaning to have a bottle to carry around. We looked at the Kl**n Kanteens but heard they were difficult to clean. This bottle is top rack dishwasher safe and cleans beautifully, no spots. No plastic taste in the water either. The only negative is that it's a little difficult to drink from, but you can get used to it. Wish there were a larger size!

Comments:
The best thing about this product is that you can fling this bottle around and it won't leak. It is so easy to get fluid out of the kicker valve and you don't have to open and close it each time you use it. I use this for all my long runs (10-20 miles) and have never had a problem with the weight of the bottle -- and I'm a skinny woman!

Comments:
Arrived with a broken valve on one bottle. The pack is a nice size, and has plenty of room to bring snacks and extra clothes. It is a good fit on a woman; adjust to fit well. Fabric/color is pretty embarrassing, but, hey, no one is going to steal it!

Best Uses:
Campgrounds, Day Trips
Describe Yourself:

Comments:
I am using this bottle to carry water around in for daily use. It seems durable and the capacity is excellent. The cap seals well but is a little hard to open and close. Perhaps this will improve as it gets broken in. I could detect absolutely no plastic taste. Not a fancy bottle but an overall good value for the price.

Good Value
By Out there in Illinois from Central Illinois on 05/24/2008

Best Uses:
Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Survival
Describe Yourself:

Comments:
Good product...my only concern is the '7' on the bottom..It's polycarbonate, and now they say we shouldn't be drinking out of that. I don't use this in the microwave or with hot water, so think the risk with cool water is minimal. I plan to keep using it until they come out with something more definite.

Great size for my kids 2.5 years and 1 year old. They can hold them and sip them easily. Work well as squirt guns too...perfect aim spout! Seriously don't spill if you snap the lid back. Holds enough for a quick outing or walk. One side is flat so can fit in pocket. I wish I bought a few more.

Lightweight but strong, easy to drink from. I like the reduced weight versus other plastic/lexan bottles. Can be a little hard to close, but I found that if you press down on the cap as you begin to close, the problem goes away.

I bought it since I felt quilty about putting my plastic disposable water bottles in landfills. Since it has a wide mouth, it cleans up great on top shelf of my dishwasher and I can put ice cubes in it.
