By Oldrunner from Montana on 06/24/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Best Uses: hiking, Traveling Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a hat without a back brim because it hits my backpack. I plan to take this on a trek in Machu Picchu and think it will be perfect for hiking. It would be nice if the flap was removable, but it can be folded up inside the hat. I like the extra long bill.
Great product for the price By Curwang from NJ on 06/23/2009 Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight, Multifunctional Cons: Sparse coverage on side Best Uses: Gardening, hiking Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The product is great for all around outdoor protection for your face. Fits well, lightweight and pretty durable. Great value for the price compared to other more expensive line of sun protection hat. Please note that the side coverage of the hat is sparse so you will need to still wear sunscreen if either side of your face will be expose to sun for long period of time.

Nice hat but lacks side face coverage By Desert Dan from Tucson, AZ on 06/20/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really liked the hat, UPF 50, color, extra long hat bill and the cape. Thought I had a winner. However, the cape does not do an adequate job of protecting the sides of your face. Manufacturer needs to move the cape forward about 1 1/2" on both sides of the hat with a button or velcro closure.
