Comments:
For intensely sunny conditions to guard against skin cancer. Skin cancer is cumulative and this hood does a great job at SPF 50 to protect you. I like the way it can be folded over your head like a neckerchief while eating and drinking.

a great spf product for the price. I've priced other hats made of spf/upf material and they are quite a bit more expensive. Lightweight for the summer heat (not made of cotton).

Comments:
Having stopped my share of thermonuclear radiation in my lifetime, I do not like the solar-oven feeling of my head-in-helmet as I ride into the sun. It is a bit snug, but his helps me relax about the punishing sun-rays.

Sizing:

Comments:
I really like that this folds into a small pocket. I am super sun sensitive so I like to have a hat available. The hat is very lightweight. I prefer the looks of a heavier, larger brimmed hat. However, those hats can't fold into small packet like this dos.

Comments:
I live in Northern New Mexico and hike the high desert plains. During the summer months, the temperature is easily near 100, with the altitude around 5,500 feet - you need protection. This hat has made a remarkable difference, keeping the sun off of my neck, not to mention the biting flies. Great product, I will repurchase.
