Colnago

Colnago

Founded by Ernesto Colnago in 1954, Colnago has been a household name in the road cycling world for decades. The company’s quick rise to fame began in 1960, when Luigi Arienti rode a Colnago road bike to a gold medal in the Rome Olympics. In the 1980s, Colnago was the first to introduce the straight-bladed fork, which is still used on road bikes today. Several years later, Colnago would partner with Ferrari to develop some of the first carbon fiber bike frames in the industry. Colnago road bikes have won countless grand tours and the company has sponsored many winning athletes, including three-time gold medalist and five-time Tour de France winner Eddy Merckx. If you’re serious about riding and need a road bike with a top-of-the-line racing frame, Colnago is a brand you can trust.

I bought 2 of these for my wife and I for climbing the hills. Over all we are very happy about the purchase besides:[...] 2)The "qualified bicycle mechanics" who put these bike together and fill the inspection sheet should be fired right away. My wife's bike develop a strange noise when we ride the bike first time after I assemble and adjust the bikes. We stopped and can not see where the noise is coming from so we finished our ride early and head back. I discovered both rear derailleur hanger screws are loose and one of them is scratching on the cassette after I remove the rear wheel. So I recheck all the bolts and screws and found lots of them are way too loose. The paint job is first class and these bikes are very fast and handle well. silky smooth shifting after the adjustment (Both rear derailleurs were set too far out).

Best Uses:
Commuting, Road riding

Comments:
I love the breathable mesh on the arms - my arms always get too warm in many jackets. This is perfect. And the material has a soft, kind of peachy finish to it that looks and feels great. And I love a light-weight jacket with pockets! The jacket is perfect for "in between" days - where you know you want something, but not too heavy, yet you don't want to over-do it.

I ride to work every day and this jacket is really good to block the wind and add some warmth. In 36 degree weather, I layered with a tank and jersey and got too hot with the jacket.
