Not the best choice if you break into a sweat during your outdoor activity as it will make a mess of the inside.

The sizing is a little larger than the ones I already own but you could wear a balaclava under it. When it gets to 40 degrees below zero these hats make it possible to keep working outdoors when everyone else has retreated for the fireplace.

Being outdoors when the temps are 10-20 below zero and you cannot go indoors to get warm because of your day's tasking, these have become a necessity. These hats are a case for "form follows function". And, spend the extra money for the genuine rabbit fur, you'll thank yourself in the long run!
