By Lopez Crab Club from Seattle, WA on 10/01/2008 Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have used this pack for day hikes, car camping, business travel and as my only luggage for 3 weeks in Europe. It is light for its size, has good access, great pockets, good support, nice padding and a flexible compression system. I like the size... which is good for a couple days or much longer. It is comfortable to wear, adjusted easily to my 6'7" frame and has lasted very well with no seam separation in 5 years. I would recommend it as a suprisingly versatile, well-made pack for short to medium trips.
By Palomar from China on 09/07/2008 Best Uses: Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have this pack for a year, and it fit me well. I usually use it on the way to company and for day hiking on the hills near city. It has enough room for books, bottles everyday. The material is rough enough.
The best day pack I have ever owned! By Day Hiker from Anchorage, Alaska on 08/19/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Excellent organization, Good Back Support, Good Padding Best Uses: Airline Travel, Backpacking, Camping, Short Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack is amazing. The biggest asset is its padded hip belt. The belt is adjustable to fit your frame and offers great support as well as cushion. The chest belt helps to balance the pack and reduce the weight on your hips. I put everything I could fit into the pack -- water, binoculars, fleece and shell, fruit, bird book, etc. and I didn't feel any weight on my back!
This pack also has many small interior pockets, which are great for school or for organizing hiking gear. I bought it because it was the largest day pack I could find for a reasonable price and did not sacrifice any essential features such as external water bottle holders, dual compartments, and a padded hip belt. I had no idea that this pack would be the best I have ever owned. It is the best I have seen, and I have seen many during my years in Utah and then Alaska. The design and organization are top notch. I highly recommend this pack!

I had to add another layer at some point during the nite
By Daddy! from Seattle, Wa on 08/14/2008 Pros: Durable, Lightweight Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hood works great here in Washington! It stores flat in the carrier without taking up any room or adding weight so I always have when I need it rain or shine!
By AR from Denver, CO on 08/14/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Neat Features Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great pack. We were dying to get out and do some hiking while our son was small. This pack provided great support and our son loves being outside. The sun shade works great and is a real plus to this pack. I would highly recommend this pack for hiking. Especially when the child is small and not big enough to be in a backpack.
By hjw from Lebanon, ct on 08/11/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Airline Travel, Camping, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't used it yet
By Buddy from Prineville, Oregon on 08/09/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Stows Easily Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My 12 year old son used this bag on our backpack trip into the Canadian Rockies. He never complained about being cold even on the near freezing night at 7000 feet elevation. It was extremely light weight and the attached stuff sack was a great idea. I have never seen a bag stuff down to such a small size. This is a great little summer backpacking bag!
By when I get the time from san jose, ca on 08/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice thing about this tent is its ease for setting up. I went with the name after having years of great success with other kelty products. The fly doesn't look like it would work that great in rain. The tent lacks some nice features that you will find nowadays in other car camping tents like elastic swing doors so you don't have to constantly zip/unzip the door. Small windows too. If the product holds up like my other Kelty gear, then it will be worth the affordable cost. Unless you have a huge family, go for the 6 person tent.
