Spacious Tent But Hard To Set Up By Family Camper from Philadelphia, Pa on 07/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Sturdy, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: We are former minimalist backpackers experienced in setting up small tents who bought this tent for car camping with our kids. The tent is spacious but was very tough to set up. The directions were virtually useless and it took the assistance of a fellow camper with the same tent model who had worked through the same frustrating set up to assist us in setting up the tent. Once you've been through the set up things are o.k. but beware the first time out.
By Active Mommabear from Louisville, KY on 07/22/2009 Pros: Easy To Set Up, Sturdy Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a single mom with two quickly growing boys so I wanted to get a bigger tent that would grow with us. I was able to set this tent up with my 5 year old in about ten minutes and the vented high roof is a lifesaver in high humidity. Haven't tried it in the rain yet but kelty makes great tents for rain usually. Only drawback is the weight. I have to split it up between packs.
Very roomy and impressive tent By Yellow Dog Campers from Kittery, Maine on 07/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The first night we used this tent, it absolutely poured all night. There was a little bit of water around the inside bottom edges of the tent in the morning but considering the amount of rain we got, we were impressed with this tent.
By Marblehead from Aspen, CO on 07/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Extended Hikes, Heavy Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this pack for my dear wife as a surprise after a 24 year absence from backpacking (kids, careers, etc.). In our mutual ignorance, we failed to pre-load it and make the myriad adjustments that were required for her body type. As a result, her first trip, a summit, was absolutely miserable! Once at camp, however, I went about the intricate task of disassembling the pack (man, it's like a rubic's cube for adjustments!) and made it very right for her for her descent. She began hating the thing and ended up excited about our next trip!
By Backpacker from California on 07/16/2009 Pros: Aluminum poles, Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy Best Uses: Beach, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought tent for car camping w/pre-schooler instead of using excellent North Face VE-24 Mountaineering Tent. Have not tested tent in the field but have set it up in the backyard; found it easy to set up and is virtually free-standing (except for fly) - will need to be staked for high winds. I can't speak to the tents longevity or effectiveness against rain but I think that the tent will fit our needs.

By RMJACKSON from North Brunswick, NJ on 07/05/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Neat Features, Roomy Cons: Limited weight limit Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We used this carrier for multiple family trips. Our son always loved riding in it. It saved us from having to manuever with a stroller. You have your hands free for bags.
By kayak fisher from Knoxville, TN on 07/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Sturdy, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Only used once and happy with my purchase this far. The setup was easy and the tent seems to be very stable. It came a hard rain for about an hour and the tent stayed completely dry. Another great price on a great kelty product.

I tend to get cold easily, and this bag not only kept my feet warm, but the part of me facing the ground as well! The inside is really soft too.
